The North Carolina Museum of History Associates is a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that enables the Museum to purchase significant artifacts, develop educational programming for children and adults, and celebrate the openings of exhibitions.

In addition, the Associates organization provides travel and lecture opportunities to its members, keeps our award-winning Museum Shop stocked and staffed, and brings curators and curiosities to membership gatherings across the state.

Governed by a board of private citizens from across the state, the Associates employs a staff to oversee day-to-day operations, including fundraising, museum store operations, membership services, and event planning.

The NC Museum of History Foundation is a non-profit corporation organized to solicit, manage, and disburse fiscal resources for the NC Museum of History and regional museums in the Division of State History Museums, North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources.
